Sany to add R&D facility in Georgia
Chinese crane and equipment manufacturer Sany says that it will invest $25 million to build a new research and development centre alongside its new North American corporate headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia.
The new facility, which will create 300 jobs, was announced during a visit by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to Sany Group headquarters in Changsha, China.
The new facility follows the recent opening of phase one of the company’s $60 million, 37,000 square Metre (400,000sqft) facility in Peachtree City.

Jack Tang, president of Sany America said: “The new R&D centre will help Sany’s internationalisation initiatives and strengthen Sany’s competitiveness in the global market. Over the past two years, we have intensely recruited R&D talent for our North American manufacturing facility, and we will very aggressively continue those efforts to staff the new research centre.”
“This expansion stems not only from the success Sany already enjoys in Georgia, but from the relationship that has developed between Sany and our state as well,” added Deal. “The talent from our academic institutions ensures a deep supply of the skilled workers needed to stay at the forefront of innovation.”
