Terex delivers the Optimax

Terex Cranes Moroccan distributor Vemat has delivered three new Terex AC 40 Optimax All Terrain cranes to three different customers in Morocco.

The three units have been purchased by construction companies O.C.BM and Boygues, along with crane rental company Manuden. The Bouygues machine has been busy since delivery working on the new Tangiers Port project.

Vemat organised an open day to demonstrate the new cranes to a number of North African buyers


The units were handed over at a company open day that included demonstrations of the new Optimax crane, which has been specially designed for customers in North Africa, with local conditions in mind.
Hicham Falaki, purchasing manager at OCBM, and Karim Ouattik, general manager of Manuden were handed the keys to their new cranes during the event.

“We’re delighted by the success of this model. Our customers have clearly seen the benefits of investing in a new crane specially designed to suit their local market,” said Dominico Paduano, managing director, Vemat.

The new two axle AC 40 Optimax is designed to be robust and simple to operate and maintain. It offers a 35 tonne maximum capacity at three metres radius, a synchronized 23.4 metre three or 30.4 metre four section telescopic boom and drive from the upper cab.

An ergonomic operator cab equipped with full Load Moment Indicator with digital LCD display and tinted windows is standard, while air-conditioning is optional.
