ATN hits the majors and announces new models

French based aerial lift manufacturer ATN has sold a number of its booms and mast booms to Loxam and Hertz and has said that it will launch up to four new models in 2012.

The orders for Loxam, Europe’s largest equipment rental company, include both ATN mast booms and a number of ATN’s innovative 33ft platform height/12 metre working height Zebra 12 articulated booms. The 4x4 Zebra 12 stands out due to its exceptional outreach of 8.5 metres, matching most 50ft articulated boom lifts – yet in a more compact lighter weight package.

Hertz Equipment – which operates from 65 locations in France, has ordered a number of the company’s eight and 10 working height mast booms, the Piaf 880R and Piaf 1000R.

We also understand that the company is planning to extend its self-propelled articulated boom range with the addition of a 16 and an 18 metre model, most likely at Intermat. These will be joined by a new 11 metre mast boom and possibly a larger Rough Terrain scissor lift.

David Beltrame, ATN’s key account manager for France, said: “Other tests and evaluations are currently underway with other rental companies and the feedback so far is very positive. Building close customer relations and providing a customised service is the philosophy of ATN and gives us confidence in winning more new customers.”
