Locatelli appoints Hird for UK

Locatelli, the Italian producer of rough terrain and All terrain cranes has appointed Peter Hird and sons Ltd as its distributor for the UK market.
Among the products that Locatelli produce, the All Terrains are most likely to succeed in the UK, in particular the ATC 20 City crane has all the attributes that hire company’s and users like on the Kobelco and Kato city cranes that were imported in the 1990’s.

The Locatelli ATC20 City crane

This 20 tonner (18.5 tonnes @ 3m) with a 24 metre main boom and 34 metre maximum tip height, offers a top speed of 42 mph/68kph, overall width of 2.3 metres, height of 2.9m and GVW of only 17 tonnes making it a very attractive taxi crane in a truly compact package. In addition the unit offers a Fork head attachment which includes an interface that allows the rapid fitting of a standard Merlo work platform with full function controls in the basket.
