Fatal scaffold collapse
Three men died and nine were injured when a seven storey façade scaffold collapsed in Dubai on Saturday afternoon. Hundreds of workers were on site at the time and local reports suggest that between 30 and 40 men were on the scaffold when it went down. Rescue dogs were used to search for any bodies that may have been trapped under the debris.

The more seriously injured men were airlifted to Hospital, while the rest were treated by ambulance crews on site.
Initial reports suggested that strong winds may have been a contributing factor, however this has since been dismissed and the site engineer and the foreman have been arrested. So far there has been no comment from the main contractor Al Qandeel Contracting and the site has been sealed as the investigation continues.
