Riwal rolls out the Titan
International access and telehandler rental company Riwal is placing the MEC Titan 40-S into a number of its operations across Europe.
The Titan boom 40-S is said to provide the lift capacity of a small telehandler at 1,800kg, with the work area of a big deck scissor lift, at 6.7 by 2.3 metres and the reach and rotation of a 14 metre telescopic boom.
The MEC Titan has now been placed in Riwal rental fleets in the Netherlands, France, UK, Denmark and Norway, with other countries due to follow shortly. The company is also looking for local partners to take the concept.

Kristian Langseth, manager Riwal Norway said: “we are seeing increasing interest in the MEC Titan. Companies active in tunnel construction and road security are renting it and considering buying it. They are very positive about the lifting capacity, the large working area and the gradeability of the machine. In addition various platform accessories are available to set up material loads on the working deck.
Rik Maaskant, commercial director of Riwal Netherlands added: “One of our largest customers is currently operating three MEC Titans on the same infrastructure project, applying insulation and cladding to tunnel ceilings. The material load capacity, the large working deck and the reach are greatly appreciated.”
