Based in Wrexham, UK, the business sells driveline components, including JCB Dieselmax engines, to other Original Equipment Manufacturers. The company has said however that Derbyshire based JCB Power Systems will continue to supply JCB Dieselmax engines as separate units through its own distributor network and directly to OEMs.

JCB Power Systems will continue to supply Dieselmax engines as well as JCB Drivetrain Systems

JCB began selling its components in 1985 and at the time felt that it needed an independent brand image to succeed.

Malcolm Sandford, managing director of JCB’s engine and transmissions businesses, said: “The change of name will enable us to develop sales into the emerging markets of South America, India, Russia and the Far East, where JCB’s brand recognition is extremely strong.”
