10,000th news report

You would not have noticed, but on Thursday last the 10,000th English language news story was posted on Vertikal.Net.

The 10,000th report concerned Genie’s anti crushing devices that it plans to show at Intermat next week.

The first report was made at 12:20 on the 3rd April 2001 during the Bauma exhibition of that year. It was entitled ‘A new force in heavy lifting’ and concerned an announcement that Mammoet and Hovago Cranes had formed a new joint venture.

The pace of reporting has picked up over the years, with more reports posted every day than were posted each week back in 2001. In addition to the English news reports there are another almost 5,000 German language news reports.
