The unit went straight to work in Preston, near Manchester on Good Friday filming The Preston Passion, a contemporary retelling of the last hours of the life of Jesus which combined live performance, music and pre-recorded drama, broadcast live from the city centre. Fern Britton hosted the event and introduced three short pre-recorded dramas, shown simultaneously on a big screen in Preston and on BBC One.

Andy Ainsworth of AA Access said: “because it was a live performance the circular camera cage really came its own. The camera was required to work off the back of the truck for one of the performances and then he had to boom around to the front. Normally this would mean re-levelling the camera, which can take time, but with this cage, no problem!”
