Merlo appoints Parkway

Merlo UK has appointed Parkway Plant Sales as the main dealer for telehandler products in the Manchester area.

Parkway was a Merlo dealer in the past but in recent years has sold not been as active in the telehandler market. It also represents Takeuchi mini excavators and skid steer loaders and Bomag rollers.

The company’s head office is in Bredbury, Stockport, where most of its service engineers are based. It also has staff based at Lowton near Warrington which houses the sales and parts divisions and Four Ashes near Wolverhampton.

Parkway Plant Sales director, Ian Wood, said: “We were formed in 1999 with the support of a civil engineering company and today are one of a small group of companies under the Westgate Holdings banner, which offer a range of plant related services. We are delighted to be able to add the Merlo brand to our portfolio, which already consists of the market leading brands of mini excavators, rollers and tracked dumpers”.
