Versalift expand UK plant

Versalift has added further production capacity to its Burton Latimer site to meet strong ongoing demand for its range of vehicle-mounted platforms.

The company has added a temporary building to house a number of additional assembly bays, while it completes planning approvals for a permanent extension.

This latest move means that Versalift has increased production capacity by 20% since the end of 2004 in a bid to break into its growing order book to bring lead times in line with customer requirements. The company is also aiming to build up its inventory of ready-to-go units to provide immediate availability.of standard units.

Versalift Managing Director, Steve Couling, said: “We have many loyal customers who buy Versalift machines for their consistent quality, reliability and efficiency. We have made major changes to production to ensure we continue to deliver these high standards while increasing throughput and meeting competitive lead times.”
