JCB launches 20 metre telehandler
JCB has officially launched its 20 metre 540-200 fixed frame telehandler at Intermat.
The new unit has a five section boom, a four tonne lift capacity and a JCB Dieselmax engine. The boom telescopes via an internal cylinder and chain extension system, which the company said reduces the need for greasing, increasing service intervals and minimising machine downtime.

The cab has been designed to provide improved visibility and a gas strut-assisted cover provides easy action to the engine and oil, air and water filters.

Tim Burnhope, JCB’s chief innovations officer, said: “The 540-200 has been designed with the customer firmly in mind and will satisfy a demand for increased lift heights and forward reach capabilities from construction and industrial customers. With fast cycle times, it will set a new benchmark for productivity.”
