KDM goes with CTE
Northern Ireland based rental company KDM has purchased four new CTE aerial work platforms.
The order includes two 20 metre Zed20CH truck mounted platforms, mounted on the Nissan Cabstar chassis, a 17 metre Traccess T170 spider lift and the recently launched 23 metre T230 spider lift.
Cookstown based KDM Hire is a general equipment rental company, with a substantial number of scissor and boomlifts, but is a newcomer to the truck mounted and spider lift markets, having only offered 12 to 14 metre spider lifts up until now.
The Zed20CH has a stowed height of just 2.5 metres, an outreach of 9.2 metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 200kg.

KDM managing director Keith McIvor said: “The CTE truck mounts are liked by customers for their reliability, ease of use and smooth control, and of course its ability to be used in many differing market sectors. In addition CTE UK offered full technical back-up and support as well as a comprehensive spares holding in the UK.”
In terms of spider lifts, KDM Hire opted for CTE’s 17 metre unit with Honda petrol engine and 110V AC electric power and the newly launched 23 metre unit fitted with Kubota diesel, 110V mains electric power and optional white - non marking tracks.
Graeme Hill, general manager of CTE UK said: “We are delighted to receive this important order from such a highly respected plant & access rental company, and are pleased that both the CTE truck and tracked access platforms were chosen to compliment the KDM hire fleet.”
