Same again for Rental Units
Russian crane rental company Rental Units has taken delivery of a repeat order for the same three Liebherr crane models it purchased last year.
The three All Terrain units include a 100 tonne four axle LTM 1100-4.2, a 130 tonne five axle LTM 1130-5.1 and a 200 tonne five axle LTM 1200-5.1. The 1100 and 1130 both have a 60 metre main booms, whereas the LTM 1200 is equipped with a six section 72 metre main boom.
Based in Saint Petersburg, Rental Units was founded in 2006 with just one Liebherr mobile crane. Now with over 100 employees it is one of Russia’s largest crane rental companies. The company plans to expand further still with the purchase of further 20 mobile and crawler cranes.

Ivan Alexandrov, managing director of Rental Units, said: “The LTM 1100-4.2 has a long boom, and is a powerful four-axle unit with compact dimensions, which makes it ideal for use on construction sites with restricted space. The LTM 1130-5.1 is a high-capacity machine, which is really impressive in the taxi crane role, with its excellent economy. The 200 tonner combines optimum lifting values with a long boom and that means it can cover a huge range of operations.”

“As a crane hire business we pay very close attention to our client’s needs and trends in the crane market: The new price of the crane, the quality, the used crane market, the availability of servicing in our area of operations, the support provided by the manufacturer, and a whole lot more besides. All that applies to Liebherr, which is why we have signed these contracts.”
