Lifterz acquires Diamond fleet
UK based crane and access rental company Lifterz has acquired the powered access fleet of Diamond Construction & Engineering Recruitment.
The fleet of the Wickford, Essex, based company consists of around 70 aerial lifts, mostly Genie models built between 2006 and 2008. Some of the units that will be added to the Lifterz fleet, will take the total number of units in the company’s fleet to around 600.
A statement from Lifterz said: "The units are in original Genie colours and in very good condition."
Diamond provides a recruitment and temporary workforce solution to the mechanical and electrical sectors and saw an opportunity to offer work platforms and other equipment as part of a ‘one stop shop’ package for its clients. This blossomed into Diamond becoming a platform rental company in its own right.
Lifterz shareholder and director Ben Bowers said: “About 25 of these platforms will be added to our hire fleet in the north and the rest will be sold to end users or put out to our friends in the industry on rent to rent deals.”
Diamond is owned by the Scannell family.
