Nifty Hybrid winner

The Hire & Rental Industry Association (HRIA) of Australia has declared Niftylift’s HR17 Hybrid 4x4 50ft self-propelled boom as its best new product of the year at its annual convention on Queensland’s Gold Coast this week.

The aerial lift beat off competition from a wide range of general rental equipment from hand tools to portable toilets and telehandlers. JLG was voted supplier of the year.

The HR17 Hybrid offers a working height of 17 metres, an outreach of nine metres and yet weighs just 4.75 tonnes. In addition the unit features Nifty’s highly efficient, low emission Hybrid power source which combines a smaller diesel engine with a powerful electric motor to provide an additional power boost for difficult terrain, as well as a quiet clean emission free power source for working indoors or in sensitive areas.
The innovative boom lifts also includes standard four wheel drive, an almost indestructible platform base and the company’s SiOPs anti-crush protection.

The award was presented to John King of Niftylift Australia who said: “To have received this prestigious award, especially in the face of such rich and varied competition is a great achievement of which Niftylift is very proud.”

This is the second time in two years that Niftylift has won this award, having picked it up back in 2010 for its Tough Cage and SiOPS safety system, the day before it unveiled the HR17. Click here to see Nifty wins best new product award
