LGH partners with union

US based Lifting Gear Hire has formed a partnership with the Local 597 Pipefitters Union training facility in Chicago.

The partnership is starting as a pilot programme - until December - for an annual rental contract to provide rigging equipment for the Union’s advanced industrial rigging classes. As part of the deal LGH will have a special 'partnership-mural' permanently displayed in the training facility, which provides regular training for around 7,000 pipefitters.

The union said: “LGH are professionals and we rely on their expertise. We want to lead by example, so it’s our goal to teach our apprentices safe rigging practices. After all, they are the future of our trade.”

Founded in 1990, Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) is dedicated exclusively to the provision of lifting and moving equipment for rent and sale, including hoisting, pulling, jacking, rigging, material handling and safety equipment.
