Ruthmann adds dealer for Iberia

German truck mounted lift manufacturer Ruthmann has appointed Time Ibérica as its distributor for Spain and Portugal.

Until now Time Ibérica, which is owned by Time France, has been the exclusive dealer of Versalift products. It will be responsible for all sales and service for Ruthmann’s full range of Steiger and Cargoloader products throughout the Iberian peninsula.

Julien Bourrellis, president of Time France, said: “Ruthmann’s professional truck-mounted aerial platforms and special transport vehicles, which we now sell and service, will significantly broaden our product range and service portfolio. Its products are synonymous for innovative technology and the highest quality and safety standards. Our objective is to enhance our product range for existing business contacts and to create a new customer base in Spain and Portugal.”

This is the latest move in a series of appointments which has seen Ruthmann and Versalift/Time align their distribution network. The two now distribute each other’s products in Germany, Denmark, France, Spain and Portugal and share a dealer Sweden and Norway.

The parties deny any suggestion that this is a start of anything more serious than finding the right partners in each country. But should the two product ranges fit well together having a common distribution chain would certainly help any further partnership developments.
