Access grows at UK Tool
UK Powered Access, the aerial lift division of UK Tool Hire, has added a new delivery truck for its growing fleet.
Based in Ilkeston, on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, the company joined the Access Alliance of independent regional rental companies at the start of 2010 as part of its move into the powered access market. The company now runs a fleet of around 150 machines ranging from 19ft scissors to 85ft booms.
The company chose a four axle 8x2 Scania, mainly due to the fact that it has an automatic transmission which also has the benefit of a clutch for first and reverse gears as well as the fact that the engine does not require adblue fluid to meet emission regulations. The truck was purchased from local dealer Keltruck, with the specialist body supplied by Central Truck Bodies.
