Socage expands in S America

Italian aerial lift and crane manufacturer Socage has added three more distributors in South America, all working through its Brazilian based Joint Venture - Guiton Socage.

The new distributors are Proing for Colombia - an electrical transmission specialist based in Cali, aerial lift specialist Alo Rental in Chile and crane and equipment sales and rental company Auriga in Mexico. All three will provide, sell and support Socage’s full range of truck mounted and spider lifts within their respective markets.

Insulated aerial lift manufacturer Guiton began working together last year, and more recently formalised the agreement with the formation of the joint venture, The two partners say that the collaboration is going from strength to strength and that the expansion into other markets through the joint venture is an indication of that.

Talking about the new dealer appointments Nicola Zago, commercial director of Guiton Socage said: “The three firms share a vast experience in the market, their businesses are well organised in terms of technology and resources, they have highly qualified staff and they have a long tradition of professionalism”.

The joint venture recently exhibited at M&T Expo in Sao Paolo where it showed a Socage SPJ315 15 metre spider lift and a DA320, 20 metre articulated truck mount.
