Gerken orders two Ruthmann platforms
German based access rental company Gerken has ordered two new Ruthmann truck mounted platforms, a 58 metre T 580 and a 46 metre T 460.
The T 580 is mounted on an 18 tonne three-axle MAN chassis, with an overall length of 11.7 metres, and is equipped with HydroDrive which the company said provides additional traction to cope with unpaved, muddy or icy surfaces. The unit has a 500kg platform capacity, although this is reduced to 100kg to achieve its maximum 40 metres outreach.
The T 460, launched earlier this year, is also mounted on an 18 tonne MAN chassis and boasts 600kg maximum capacity and a maximum outreach of 31 metres with the reduced 100kg platform capacity - most of the machines long reach working envelope can be achieved with 600kg.
