Two new Liebherrs for Wiemann
German crane rental and heavy haulage company Wiemann Autokrane has taken delivery of a 130 tonne Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 and a 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1 All Terrain crane.
Wiemann said the 500 tonner, which is the company’s third LTM 1500-8.1 in its fleet, will be used throughout Germany to work on power plant construction and wind turbine work. The crane features a seven section 84 metre main boom and includes a 91 metre luffing fly jib which provides a 145 metre maximum under hook height and 108 metre maximum radius.
The LTM 1130-5.1 which features a 60 metre main boom and a 10.8-19 metre swing-away extension will be used regionally for day-to-day jobs. Wiemann collected the cranes from Liebherr’s Ehingen plant with the help of its latest eight-axle Goldhofer low loader coupled to a four-axle Mercedes Actros Titan tractor unit.
