Euro Auctions expands into USA
Northern Ireland-based equipment auctioneer Euro Auctions is expanding into the USA having acquired a new auction site in Newnan, near Atlanta, Georgia. The 65 acre site in Atlanta was formally home to the ADESA Atlanta Truck & Equipment Auction Facility. With 90 percent hard paved, it is ideal staging auctions with large quantities of construction equipment.
Facilities include the main drive through auction hall, office accommodation, a check-in and sale day administration building, cafeterias as well as two preparation and spray workshops where equipment and machinery can be prepared for sale.
“Euro Auctions has long aspired to enter the USA market but plans have always hinged on finding a suitable facility,” commented Jonnie Keys, Euro Auctions general manager. “This site was chosen because of the quality of the facility as well as its excellent location. It also provides us with the unique opportunity to be located amongst the hub of the American equipment industry, which will be instrumental to the success of this venture. We anticipate that the first sale at the new Euro Auctions, Atlanta site will be in the early part of 2013 and we then plan to hold regular auctions there.”
12 months ago Euro Auctions opened a new auction site in Brisbane, Australia.
