Momect takes 100 tonner
Swiss heavy lifting and haulage company Momect has taken delivery of a 100 tonne Terex AC 100/4L All Terrain crane to perform maintenance work on hydro-electric dams in the Swiss Alps.
The compact four-axle AC100 features a 59.4 metre main boom plus a 10 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, providing an on board tip height of 81.7 metres – compiling with 12 tonne axle loads. Powered by a 445HP engine the 2.55 metre wide unit has an overall height of 3.9 metres and features hydraulic luffing of the extension.
Director of Momect, Michel Thurre said: “For me, the AC 100 stands out as the best all terrain model in its class. Its long 60-meter boom is a great feature that makes it very versatile. The crane’s multiple outrigger settings and outrigger ground pressure sensors are also features that help make crane set-up fast and safe – even on snow-covered and rocky ground.”
