Double for Raimondi
Italian tower crane manufacturer Raimondi has recently unveiled a new tower crane and appointed a new distributor.
Belgium tower crane distributor Van Campenhout has recently signed an agreement with Raimondi for exclusive distribution of its products.
Established in 1996, Bornem-based Van Compenhout is currently the distributor of Vicario self erecting tower cranes. The company will now be responsible for sales and service of Raimondi tower cranes throughout Belgium and Luxembourg.
The company said: “Following an increased demand for tower cranes we decided to look for a manufacturer. Raimondi fits the bill perfectly as it is a company which is already an established name in the Belgium market.”

The new MRT144 tower crane launched at the Ankomak exhibition in Istanbul
Raimondi also launched its 8 to 10 tonne MRT144 top slewing tower crane at Ankomak exhibition in Istanbul. The latest model in the company’s MRT range fits between its existing MRT126 and MRT156 models. The new crane can lift 1.4 tonne at its maximum jib length of 65 metres.
Other features include a new 40hp hoist inverter which enables the crane to lift 8 tonnes with single reeving. Its new gearless system provides an optimum level of hoisting speeds while maximising the torque of the engine.
