CTE B-Lift for Australian mine
Australian thermal coal exporter Xstrata Coal has taken delivery of a 14.6 metre CTE B-Lift 150 truck mounted lift to perform maintenance and inspection work of large mining trucks at the Glendell Coal Mine in Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
Purchased through the company’s Australian dealer, Platform Sales the B-Lift 150 is mounted on a 4x4, six tonne Mitsubishi chassis. The machine has a working outreach of 8.9 metres and a 200kg platform capacity. Due to the tough working conditions in the mines additional features include a stainless steel encased control system, extra protection for all electrical cables and special paint being used on the sub-frame. A fire extinguisher, operating lights and beacons have also been fitted.
Sydney based Xstrata Coal claims to be the world’s largest exporter of thermal coal, with over 17,000 employees, last year it produced more than 100 million tonnes of coal. The company is currently operating from 30 open cast and underground coal mines throughout Australia, South Africa and Colombia.
