JLG military contract extended
The US Army has increased its contract with JLG for the refurbishment of its military telehandlers in Afghanistan by $10.2 million.
JLG will continue its refurbishment of its SkyTrak 6000M, ATLAS (All-Terrain Lifter Army System) and ATLAS II telehandlers as well as other material handling and construction equipment with the JLG military service team performing the work in Bagram and Kandahar, Afghanistan until August 2013. The cost of the newly revised contract has increased to $73.8 million.
Denny Buterbaugh, JLG’s vice president of government products and programs, said: “JLG has performed refurbishment work for the Army since August 2004. We are especially proud of this partnership and the opportunity it affords us to support our troops serving in the field with robust, reliable JLG equipment.”
