He was previously chief executive of Knorr-Bremse, a manufacturer of braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles, from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Gildemeister, a manufacturer of cutting machine tools, culminating as deputy chairman and still sits on the supervisory board.

Klinkner began his career at Porsche in 1991 and held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of logistics and supply chain management.

Terex chief executive Ron DeFeo said: “We are very pleased to have Raimund Klinkner join our board of directors. He is a seasoned chief executive with the ability to see the big picture on a strategic level and a highly regarded supply chain specialist.”

As Terex has continued to increase its geographic diversification, Dr. Klinkner’s international experience, particularly his experience and insight into the German market, makes him a valuable addition to the Terex Board,” added Terex lead director G. Chris Andersen.
