Middle East sales manager for Magni

The recently launched Italian manufacturer Magni Telescopic Handlers has appointed Domenico Polimeni, 48, as its area sales manager for the Middle East and Africa.

A mechanical engineer by education, Polimeni has spent his career in the loader crane industry, starting with Autogru PM in 1989, as junior export area manager. In 1995 he moved to Fassi as export area manager, where he was responsible for building a dealer network in the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Portugal.

A statement from Magni, whose first product is the Rickilift aerial work platform for picking dates and working on date palms, said: “Mr Polimeni’s experience and professionalism will help us make the most of the worldwide business opportunities and give a strong launch and positive message to our existing and potential dealer's and existing/future end users”

Magni is planning a major worldwide launch at Bauma next year, when it is likely to reveal details of any telehandler products that its name and the experience of its owner – Ricardo Magni suggest will be its core product offering.
