Ashtead acquires JMR

Ashtead’s Sunbelt Rentals has acquired the business and assets of JMR Industries , an aerial lift, telehandler, generator and lighting tower rental company that targets the oil & gas industry.

Sunbelt has paid $32 million for JMR, with deferred consolidation of up to $12 million payable over the next three years depending on future profitability. Owners, Jimmy Roark and Jimmy Shelton will remain with the business.

JMR operates from a single location in Odessa, Texas but covers western Texas, New Mexico, South West Colorado, North East Arizona and southern Utah.
