CAT opens Dubai distribution centre
Caterpillar has opened its new Middle East parts distribution centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The 46,500 square metre/500,000 square foot centre is part of the company’s on-going expansion and improvement programme for its Europe, Africa and Middle East parts distribution network. The new locations joins existing centres in Grimbergen, Johannesburg and Moscow. It will also contribute to Caterpillar’s sustainable development goals by reducing airfreight for parts ordered in the region.
Caterpillar Logistics Service’s president Steve Larson, said: “We are very pleased to be adding the Middle East distribution centre to our global parts network. With the outstanding product support capability of Caterpillar dealers in the region and the improved parts availability this operation will deliver, we will continue providing customers an unmatched level of after-sale support.”
