More LHM for Americas
Liebherr Container Cranes has booked orders for four LHM 600 mobile harbour cranes destined for ports in south and central America – with 2013 looking to become its most successful year for sales in Mexico.
International port investor and operator Hutchison Port Holdings has placed an order for two LHM 600 cranes, equipped with a 104 tonne winch, for its Lázaro Cárdenas Terminal in Michoacan, Mexico. It has also ordered another for its Terminal Internacionale de Manzanillo (TIMSA) located further up the coast in Manzanillo.
The fourth and final order is for Montecon which operates from the Port of Montevideo in Uruguay. The new crane will become the second LHM 600 to be delivered within the last two years and its sixth Liebherr harbour crane to be purchased in total.

The company claims its LHM 600 is currently the largest mobile harbour crane on the market
The LHM 600 is currently the largest in Liebherr’s harbour crane range with a lifting capacity of 208 tonnes and a maximum outreach of 58 metres. All four feature Liebherr’s fuel saving ECO control system which automatically calculates the required power depending on needed speeds and loads. They have also been fitted with additional tower extensions providing the operators a better vantage point.
