Hinowa hosts UK rental group
Hinowa hosted a group of delegates from UK rental companies for a visit to its plant in Italy last week.
The trip, organised by Hinowa distributor Access Platform Sales (APS), included a tour of the Verona facility, with demonstrations of the spider lift manufacturer’s latest machines, including the 17.75 and 20.10 Performance IIIS models.
Following the tour the group headed off to the Ferrari factory nearby, where they all had the chance to drive two iconic Ferraris each - a California, 458, 599 or 430 spider - on the roads around Maranello.
Jim Daintith, chairman of the IAPS group, which owns APS, said: “With the Ferrari factory so close to Hinowa’s it seemed too good an opportunity to waste. Driving a Ferrari is great fun and the whole party were all grinning like big kids afterwards.”

After the Hinowa plant tour its on to the Ferrari factory
“We always encourage our customers to visit the Hinowa factory because it is so impressive. The group was impressed with the manufacturing processes, particularly the attention to detail and the company’s extremely high quality control. Hinowa are real innovators in tracked access platforms and manufacture an exceptionally good product. The Ferrari trip afterwards was the perfect way to end our visit.”
The UK delegation included Philip Hird and Carl Norfolk of Peter Hird, Ian Brown and David Wase of Winner Plant, Keith McIvor of KDM Hire, Vincent Rose and Reg Harris of Southern Plant Hire, Neil McPherson of McPherson Forklifts, Judith Tollerfield of Express Hire, Darrel Leadley of Elvington Plant and Lee Batson of Kentec.
Hosted by Daintith, along with Kevin Shadbolt and Chris Banks from IAPS and Fabrizio Rossi and Enrico Fracca of Hinowa.
