Spiders in Terminal 5

Powered Access Sales and Service Ltd has sold four Palazzani Ragno TSJ38 spider type lifts to Schmidlin/BAA for the construction and eventual maintenance of the new Heathrow

Terminal five building. The TSJ38 offers up to 38 metres working height and 14 metres of outreach in a 1.1 metre wide 8,000 kg package.

Another Italian crawler mounted lift on the job is a new RAM Spider 160TJ with 16 metres working height, over six metres of outreach with 200kg lift capacity in a package that offers retracted width of 788mm and a GVW of only 1,900 kg.
