Beyer orders more Snorkel lifts

German rental company Beyer Mietservice has ordered 20 Snorkel A38E battery-powered self-propelled booms. The deal was sealed on the last day of Bauma between CEO Dieter Beyer and Snorkel’s Wim Jansink, district manager for central and Eastern Europe and Enrique Garcia Delgado, regional sales manager for Europe.

Jansink said: “Beyer prides itself on offering the best performing machines. Dieter was impressed with the great working envelope of the A38E and the versatility it provides as a 100 percent electric machine. The A38Es will join a number of Snorkel S1930E compact electric scissor lifts already in the Beyer fleet.”

Founded in 1994 by Beyer, Beyer Mietservice has grown rapidly to become a nationwide provider of construction equipment, cranes and aerial work platforms. In recent years it has further expanded outside of Germany, to supply contractors in Austria, France, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. The company, known for its distinctive blue branding, now employs more than 140 people.

With a 13.5 metre working height and a gross weight of just 3,770kg, the Snorkel A38E has an outreach of 6.1 metre. Snorkel’s innovative articulating boom design results in very little front boom overhang and a tight turning radius makes it highly manoeuvrable.

The lift is powered by 8 x 6 volt, 210Ah batteries, enough power to work all day and the battery pack can be recharged overnight. Non-marking tyres are fitted as standard.
