30 Grove and Manitowoc cranes for All
US based ALL Erection & Crane Rental has purchased 30 new cranes from the Manitowoc crane group, including 20 Grove Rough Terrain cranes and 10 crawlers, to add to its 34 branch fleet.
The deal includes: 10 Grove RT650E 45 tonne Rough Terrain cranes and 10 Grove RT540E 35 tonne Rough Terrains, which join the 10 x 272 tonne Manitowoc 2250 crawler cranes that it already has on order with 91 metre booms. It is also taking five 21 to 48 metre luffing jib attachments.
Some of the new cranes will be sent to ALL’s branches, but most of them will be delivered to the company’s headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, to meet a spike in demand.

Michael Liptak, president of ALL, said: “Crane use is at the highest level I have seen in years, including in northeast Ohio and other areas of the Midwest, the southern U.S. and Canada. Power and energy projects are booming, as is road and bridge work. More customers are seeking to purchase used machinery as well. We choose Manitowoc because it builds great cranes. Manitowoc Crane Care professionals are also a huge plus. They understand and love cranes, and provide excellent and timely support.”
“Manitowoc’s 2250 crawler crane is designed to be mobile, stable and reliable. The crane is ideal for a wide variety of applications, from setting steel to placing heavy industrial components.”
“The Grove RT650E and RT540E are unique machines. They are important in their class for the work they do handling material and providing lift support on job sites. From commercial construction to power, wind to coal, there are some job sites that need the rugged manoeuvrability that only a Rough Terrain crane can offer.”
