13 Scheuerle axle lines for Bohnet

International multimodal heavy and oversized cargo transport provider Bohnet has taken delivery of 13 InterCombi axle lines from heavy transporter manufacturers Scheuerle.

Upon delivery the Baden-Württemberg based company was contracted to transport a 310 tonne Siemens gas turbine measuring 11 metres in length by logistic provider Wallmann & Co. from Hamburg to a nearby port facility.

Providing a 36 tonne axle load, 650mm lifting height, and a steering angle up to 60 degrees, the company said the InterCombi platform trailer comfortably handled the load and the road conditions as well as having little problems moving around the halls, stacks of containers encountered at the dock.

Stefan Stich, Bohnet fleet manager said: “Each transport is different and some are just more challenging than others. If this is the case, we set great store by using vehicles from Scheuerle because then we know that we are definitely on the safe side.”
