Specialist Crane Hire chooses Grove

UK based Specialist Crane (SCH) has purchased a new Grove GMK 4100L. The crane was chosen for its 'versatility, specification, known reliability and parts commonality across the Grove range'.

“The GMK 4100L has a 60 metre main boom and luffing Jib, allowing customers to carry out jobs previously only achieved with a larger, less manoeuvrable machines or one requiring a fly jib, thus saving customers time and money,” said SCH managing director John Chappell. “Within our fleet we have Grove cranes from 50 to 110 tonnes and fully trained operators fully familiar with the detail of each complex operation. This is consistent with our continued investment in fall arrest and other safety equipment which the blue chip customers expect as standard these days.”

“The ability to switch operators between cranes, experienced support from our own and Grove technicians as well as uniformity of parts holding convinces us this was the right way to go. We see further investment is needed to fulfil anticipated increased demand from local infrastructure projects.”

SCH has mobile cranes with capacities ranging from seven to 200 tonnes.
