Ploeger Oxbo acquires Bourgoin

Agricultural and processing equipment manufacturer Ploeger Agro France BV - a subsidiary of the Ploeger Oxbo Group - has acquired French-based SAS Bourgoin Investissements headquartered in Bournezeau, France. Bourgoin – which will continue under its own name - designs and manufacturers specialised harvesting equipment and has a range of telehandlers and employs about 100 workers in Bournezeau.

Ploeger Agro France BV - a subsidiary of the Ploeger Oxbo Group - has acquired French-based SAS Bourgoin Investissements which has a range of telehandlers headquartered in Bournezeau, France.

The two companies say that the acquisition meets future needs and international expansion. In addition, the combination allows for a further improved service network, providing its customers worldwide with efficient and quick local support and ample spare parts availability.

"This new partnership positions our company for a brighter future," said Luc Boyeldieu, owner of Bourgoin. "Working together, we can accomplish things that we just could not do as an individual company and more efficiently pursue opportunities in new markets such as Brazil, China and fast-growing countries in Eastern Europe.

"This new arrangement allows our companies to freely exchange technology and product information, while maintaining each other's corporate identity," said Ad Ploeger, member of the board of directors of POG. POG now has about 700 employees, largely divided throughout the United States and Europe. Headquartered in Roosendaal, The Netherlands it manufactures a wide range of speciality agricultural equipment for the processing industry..

The Group includes Ploeger Machines bv, Oxbo International and PMC Harvesters and employs over 600 workers in five manufacturing facilities in the USA, The Netherlands and United Kingdom, as well as a number of sales and service locations.
