More Gottwalds for Brazil
Brazilian port operator Fospar has placed an order for its second Model 4 Gottwald harbour crane just over a year after purchasing its first.
Destined for the company’s granulation and deep-water fertiliser terminal in Paranagua, Brazil, the 40 tonne G HSK 4316B is a variant of Terex’s Model 4 harbour crane and features a four rope grab variant. Mounted on rails spanning the length of the finger pier the portal provides clearance height of seven metres and a width of 9.5 metres. It has also been designed to be powered from the harbour’s AC power supply.
Ronaldo Sapateiro, plant manager at Fospar, said: “In around the past one and a half years, as a powerful and reliable machine, the Terex Gottwald portal harbour crane has made a major contribution to increasing our handling rates. For this reason, we have decided to replace the old crane that we are still currently using on the finger pier with a further G HSK 4316 B.”
