Loxam takes first Versalifts in UK
Loxam Access in the UK has taken delivery of its first Versalift van mounted work platforms.
Loxam, operates a significant fleet of vehicle mounted lifts in the UK and has been a significant buyer of Versalift platforms in other European countries over many years, but not in the UK.
The first order for Versalift includes 19 new 12.9 metre working height ET36LF telescopic platforms, mounted on 3.5 tonne GVW Ford Transit, medium wheelbase vans for general fleet replacement. The new lifts have been subject to a Whole Vehicle Type Approval by Versalift in the UK, with deliveries having started this summer to Loxam’s national depot network.

Loxam has also purchased a number of new 14.3 metre ET38LF telescopic platforms on 5.2 tonne GVW Iveco Daily 50C15 vans, and 16.5 metre EST46LF twin boom telescopics on seven tonne Iveco Daily70C – for new contracts under the company’s mini lease programme, where customers specifically requested Versalift machines.
Loxam’s UK based technical manager, Darrel Voce said: “The company’s decision to specify Versalift van mounted lifts was driven by their ease of operation, available payload, reputation for reliability and the manufacturer’s support capability. Loxam’s business is about ‘safety, service and value’ for our customers, the Versalift offer met our aspirations for our customers as we would expect from the market leader. Customer feedback has been excellent.”
