PASMA’s Tower Week events announced
UK based access tower association PASMA has announced a programme of free-to-view online broadcasts in preparation for its national Tower Week, intended to promote safety and best practice of mobile access towers as well as highlight their benefits.
Running from 11th – 15th November the broadcasts can be accessed on the event website -
towerweek.pasma.org.uk - at 11.00am each day. The broadcasts will then be followed by a questions and answers via the PASMA twitter page.
The agenda is as follows:
Day 1: A Health & Safety Executive (HSE) inspector will discuss the findings of this year’s Safer Sites initiative, targeting the refurbishment, repair and maintenance sectors.
Day 2: Showcasing the versatility of towers, this broadcast will highlight the varied applications for which towers are being used.
Days 3: This broadcast explains the simple measures needed in order to keep towers both productive and safe.
Day 4: A video outlining the recently introduced PAS 250 safety standard for podiums and pulpits.
Day 5: A beginner’s guide to mobile access towers. It also explains the importance of professional training.
Organised nationally, but delivered locally by its members, PASMA Tower Week will see manufacturers, rental/erecting companies and tower training centres organising demonstrations, running workshops and surgeries, offering on-site health checks and arranging ‘ask the expert’ sessions.
