200 Hiabs to Chausson Matériaux in France
Hiab has won a contract to supply 200 loader cranes to Toulouse-based Chausson Matériaux, one of France's largest independent buildings materials suppliers.
Five medium-capacity XS models will be delivered during 2014 and early 2015, all fitted with the HiPro operating system and Combidrive remote control.
The order allows Chausson Matériaux to equip 80 new dealers with loader cranes and to upgrade existing Hiab equipment throughout its 320 strong network. Chausson Matériaux currently operates a fleet of 400 Hiab cranes, which will increase to 550 with this order.
Carrosserie Serignac - Hiab's dealer in Toulouse which has been working with Chausson Matériaux since 1955 - has developed a bespoke solution fitting delivery trucks with a strengthened sub-frame and lightweight bodywork, that increases the payload by up to 250kg, allowing larger loads and reducing costs.
