Terex AWP/Genie appoints Kuehne + Nagel
Terex Aerial Work Platforms/Genie has appointed Kuehne+Nagel to provide global transportation management and supporting services for its North American operations.
Kuehne+Nagel will serve as the company’s single point of contact in North America for transportation planning and management, performance measurement of logistics service providers, and freight settlement. Its brief is to help Genie achieve its objectives of increased operational control, process standardisation and cost reduction through shipment optimisation and process improvements.
Howard Wilkinson, Genie vice president global logistics, distribution & trade, said: "Our relationship with Kuehne+Nagel will provide us with improved customer service and responsiveness to support continued growth of our North American business, meet our evolving customer and business requirements, and have a more flexible, cost effective logistics infrastructure."
