Last call for companies to claim CITB Grant

CITB-ConstructionSkills is issuing a final call to UK employers who wish to claim a CITB Grant for training in 2004/2005.

With just four weeks to go until the final deadline of 31 October, employers are being urged to send their CITB Grant claim forms to CITB-ConstructionSkills.

Claims received after 31 October will be rejected. CITB-ConstructionSkills registered employers are eligible to claim CITB Grants even if they pay no levy. Grants are available for all kinds of training, including non-construction training like computing or customer service.

Anne Macdonald, CITB-ConstructionSkills Grant Product Manager, said: "In 2004, CITB-ConstructionSkills paid out £97million in Grants. For every £1.00 of CITB Levy paid, the industry received £1.79 in grants and support.

Following employer feedback, we have extended the grant claim period to allow employers more time to get their 2004/2005 Grant claims in before the scheme year closes."
