USA construction market hits new records
The US census bureau has issued statistics indicating that construction spending in August hit $1.1 trillion, a new seasonally adjusted record.
At the same time Standard & Poor’s is forecasting that US spending on capital equipment will grow by five to 10 percent for the rest of 2005 and throughout 2006.
The two reports should be good news for producers of cranes, aerial lifts and telehandlers and is likely to keep lead times at current levels as strong American demand keeps manufacturers backlog at current levels.
