Ladies driving cranes
For the past few years Ainscough has supported the ‘ladies Driving Challenge’ in aid of ‘Marie Curie Cancer Care’ where ladies have the opportunity to drive various machines and trucks. Ainscough provides a crane and operator, so that the ‘lady only’ participants can drive the crane “under supervision” around a test track.

49 ladies tried their hand at driving the crane in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care challenge
Each participant is sponsored, and so far the magnificent sum of £434,000.00 has been raised from all the driving challenges held across the Northern Region to help this very worthy cause.
This year the crane seemed to be the most popular vehicle with 49 ladies taking up the challenge, who knows some of them may decide to become crane operators as a result!
