End user Isolis
APS, the Isoli distributor for the UK has delivered two new Isoli truck mounted lifts to end user buyers.
The first unit, a 20 metre Isoli PNT 205NLX articulated boom model mounted on a 3.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar MWB chassis, was purchased by internet service provider Orbital Net, for installation and maintenance of telecoms and ICT infrastructure on commercial and residential buildings.
The Kent-based company has traditionally rented in boom lifts when required, but a recent cost analysis proved it would be more economical to invest in a unit of its own.
The PNT 205NLX has a sigma type dual riser, extendable front H-frame outriggers and fixed straight down rear jacks, enabling the unit to work in more confined spaces. Maximum outreach is 9.5 metres, and platform capacity 230kg. The outreach and platform capacity is automatically matched to the stabiliser position.
Orbital founder Darren Brown said: “I was impressed with the Isoli build quality and safety features - particularly the cab protection system. I also like the variable position H-frame jacking on the 205NLX, as we often work on domestic driveways where there is not always sufficient space to fully extend outriggers.”

The second buyer is Sussex Renovations Construction, which has acquired a 22.5 metre Isoli PNT230 to carry out painting, decorating and high level building maintenance for local authorities, companies and private residents in the Sussex area. The lift replaces a 2007 CTE truck mount and is mounted on a 4.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar chassis for sufficient payload for additional operators, along with cones and other road safety equipment.
The unit features variable position H-frame outriggers, a 230kg platform capacity and 11.3 metres of outreach.
Sussex Renovations managing director Gary Chetland said: “The CTE served us well but the Isoli is an improvement in several key performance areas. These include increased basket capacity, additional working height and a huge increase in outreach.”
