George Brumwell dies

George Brumwell, chair of CSCS and former general secretary of the UK construction union Ucatt, died suddenly today aged 66 from an infection following a short illness.

Brumwell retired from his post at Ucatt in 2004 after 13 years and took on the role of chairman of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme, the company that administers the card scheme for the CITB.
