Couling to join IAPS
IAPS - the owner of UK based Access Platform Sales (APS), International Parts Specialist (IPS) and Platform Service and Repair (PSR) - has announced that Steve Couling has been appointed as managing director effective September and will invest in the business.
Staff were told of the move on Friday and follows Time International/Versalift’s announcement that Couling would be leaving his post as managing director in August - see:

An official announcement on the appointment is expected shortly.
Vertikal Comment
Couling has worked with current IAPS managing director and joint owner Tony Jennings during his days at UpRight UK and UpRight International, as has sales & marketing director Richard Tindale and operations director Kevin Shadbolt. So he is well known to most of the senior management, which should help with the transition.
The move is a logical next step for the two principal shareholders - Jennings and APS founder and IAPS chairman Jim Daintith - allowing them to step back a little further from the day to day running of the business in order to focus on further growth opportunities and possibly a future sales of the business.
For Couling it gets him back into the international market, something he has missed in his 10 years with Versalift UK, and allows him to take an equity stake in the business he works for.
